Bulldog Skates is an extension of nearly thirty years of experience
in the world of art and board making by Wes "Bulldog" Humpston.
Wes began making boards for his friends in the mid seventies in a garage behind his parents home in Santa Monica, California. He and long time friend Kevin Kaiser made belly boards, drew, painted & airbrushed surfboards and skateboards.
The list of customers would later read like a who's who in future issues of SkateBoarder Magazine in years to come; Jim Muir (with whom Wes would later found Dogtown Skates), Arthur Lake, Ray Flores, Tony Alva, John Palfreyman, Tom Lund, Paul Constantineau, Jay Adams, Paul Cullen, and Shogo Kubo to name a few.
